Job summary

Rosco Vision is seeking a CNC Set-Up / Operator to set up, program, and run CNC machinery to produce precision parts in accordance with engineering drawings, work orders, and quality standards. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in CNC machining or manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and basic GD&T.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
• Basic understanding of CNC tooling, feeds, speeds, and offsets.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines, loading programs, tooling, fixtures, and materials.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work orders, and specifications.
• Review CNC programs and adjust offsets, feeds, speeds, and tooling as needed.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished components safely and efficiently.
• Install and adjust cutting tools, fixtures, and other machine accessories.
• Verify first-piece and in-process dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
• Make necessary machine adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Monitor machine operation and identify unusual sounds, vibration, tool wear, or other potential problems.
• Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventative maintenance.
• Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet drawing specifications and quality requirements.
• Identify and communicate quality issues, machine problems, material shortages, and production delays to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, and downtime records.
• Follow established work instructions, SOPs, and quality requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S standards.
• Properly handle and identify materials, tooling, fixtures, and finished parts.
• Assist with troubleshooting machining and process issues.
• Support continuous improvement activities to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and machine efficiency.
• Follow all safety policies, including PPE and machine guarding.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
