Job summary

SourcePro Search, LLC seeks a skilled CNC Programmer to develop and optimize programs for precision machined parts. You will collaborate with machinists, manufacturing engineering, and quality to translate engineering requirements into safe, efficient machining processes that meet print specs.

Responsibilities include creating/modifying CNC programs from drawings, selecting tooling and setup strategies, and using CAD/CAM tools for verification and simulation on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Practical CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to machining processes.
• Working knowledge of G-code, M-code, machining principles, cutting tools, and workholding.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software, program verification, and shop-floor troubleshooting.
• Ability to use precision inspection tools and communicate effectively with machinists and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain CNC programs from engineering drawings and requirements.
• Develop machining sequences and select tools, holders, workholding, speeds, feeds, and setup strategies.
• Use CAD/CAM tools and simulations to identify machining risks before release.
• Support first-piece prove-outs, machine setups, troubleshooting, and program adjustments on the floor.
• Optimize toolpaths, cycle times, tool life, surface finish, and dimensional consistency.
• Prepare setup sheets, tooling lists, program documentation, and operator instructions; maintain revision control.
• Collaborate with quality to address dimensional issues and verify prints.
• Assist with fixture concepts and feed design for manufacturability.
