Unknown client is seeking a CNC Programmer to develop and optimize CNC programs for precision machined parts. The role involves translating engineering requirements into safe, efficient machining processes that meet dimensional and finish specs.

Responsibilities include creating and refining programs, selecting tools and speeds, simulating via CAD/CAM, supporting first-piece proves, and collaborating with quality to ensure print conformity.

Qualifications

• Read engineering drawings and apply GD&T to machining processes.
• Experience with G-code and M-code for controlling CNC machines.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and program verification.
• Ability to troubleshoot on the shop floor and support setups.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain CNC programs from engineering drawings and requirements.
• Develop machining sequences, select cutting tools, holders, and speeds/feeds.
• Use CAD/CAM tools to simulate and verify programs before release.
• Support first-piece prove-outs, machine setups, troubleshooting, and adjustments.
• Optimize toolpaths, cycle times, tool life, and surface finish.
• Prepare setup sheets, tooling lists, program documentation, and operator instructions; maintain revision control.
• Collaborate with quality to verify print requirements and address dimensional issues.
• Assist with fixture concepts and feedback on manufacturability.
