Job summary

Deo-Tek, Inc. seeks a capable CNC Operator/Machinist to set up and run mills and lathes in a fast-paced Glenview, IL shop. You will monitor multiple machines, adjust programs for quality and cycle targets, and inspect parts against blueprints using precision tools.

The role emphasizes reading technical drawings, basic G-code familiarity, and multitasking in a safety-minded, quality-driven environment. Standing for long shifts and light lifting are expected.

Qualifications

• Experienced CNC Operators or Machinists (preferred).
• Proficient in reading blueprints/technical drawings.
• Familiar with measurement tools and inspection techniques.
• Basic grasp of G-code or CNC controls (preferred; not required).
• Detail-driven multitaskers and able to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up, load, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and multitasking CNC equipment.
• Simultaneously monitor multiple machines to sustain throughput.
• Load, adjust, and fine-tune programs to maintain quality and cycle targets.
• Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges to confirm tolerances.
• Perform in-process quality checks against blueprint specifications.
• Troubleshoot minor machine concerns and escalate major issues to maintenance or supervisors.
• Maintain coolant levels, track tooling wear, and keep machines and work area clean.
• Document production runs, inspection results, and any deviations.
