Job summary

Conductix-Wampfler is seeking a Fabricator Machine Operator in Omaha, NE to set up, adjust, and operate fabrication equipment to produce metal components from blueprints and work orders. You will ensure safe operations, quality standards, and accurate production records in a fast-paced shop environment.

The role requires reading drawings, using measuring tools, and maintaining documentation while contributing to continuous improvement and adherence to 5S and ISO policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 1-2 years of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills including dimensions, quantities, metric conversions, algebra, and geometry.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, diligence, and time management skills.
• Welding experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Practice the highest degree of safety in all duties.
• Read and interpret drawings, process routings, and production information.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, rollers, punches, sanders, drills, grinders, shears, saws.
• Use measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, rules, squares, and height gauges.
• Maintain accuracy in recording inventory transactions and labor times.
• Support ERP data access for materials, inventory, and production orders.
• Improve fabrication efficiency and support growth of the department.
