Job summary

Gem Care, Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC HAAS Machinist/Programmer for first shift to bridge design and manufacturing. You will interpret concepts, create 3D models, and set up/operate HAAS mills and lathes to produce close-tolerance parts with high quality.

The role requires strong CAD/CAM skills, GD&T knowledge, and hands-on programming experience; safety and quality are prioritized. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years operating and programming HAAS CNC machining centers.
Hands-on experience with 3D modeling software and CAM tools.
Strong ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and perform manual G-code edits.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical CNC training is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and modify 3D CAD models from 2D blueprints, sketches, or prototypes.
Generate CNC programs from 3D models using CAM software and verify with simulations.
Select tooling, feeds, speeds, and cutting depths based on material specs; run CAM simulations to optimize cycles.
Set up HAAS mills and lathes: load programs, fixtures, align vices, and set offsets.
Monitor machining cycles and adjust offsets to maintain part accuracy and surface finish.
Inspect finished parts using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMMs) and document changes.
