Job summary

VanZandt Controls is seeking a CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team in Texas. The role involves operating CNC mills and lathes, loading parts, assembling valves and actuators, and ensuring parts meet quality standards.

You will read blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and maintain accurate production records while maintaining a safe, organized work area. Training programs and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or machine shop.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude with attention to detail.
• Ability to read tape measures and precision instruments.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and blueprints.
• Strong organizational and inventory skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Dependable attendance and positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills and lathes following work instructions and schedules.
• Load and unload parts, monitor machine operation.
• Deburr, clean, and prepare machined parts for assembly.
• Assemble mechanical valves, actuators, and components per drawings.
• Install hardware, seals, bearings, bushings, fasteners.
• Use hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Perform quality inspections with precision measuring tools.
• Verify parts meet quality standards before shipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings.
• Maintain inventory records and organize parts.
• Pull parts and kits for production orders.
• Report inventory shortages and assist with cycle counts.
• Package finished products for shipment.
• Keep workstations clean and compliant with safety standards.
• Assist other departments as needed.
