Job summary

Twin City Die Castings Company is seeking a skilled machinist/operator to perform secondary operations, inspect castings, and assist in setup and quality checks. You will work with lathes and machining centers, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet specifications using CMM and precision tools.

The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to follow work instructions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. On-site position with standard hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow procedures.
• Experience with precision measurement tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
• Listen to machines during operation to detect tool wear or excessive vibration and notify appropriate personnel.
• Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or change tooling/setup as required.
• Lift workpieces to machines manually or with hoists/cranes.
• Insert control instructions into machine control units to start operation.
• Adhere to all environmental, health and safety rules and policies; ensure personal activity does not compromise safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
