Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. is hiring a CNC Mill/Turn Machine Operator for on-site work in Euclid, Ohio.

You will set up, operate, and inspect CNC and conversational centers to perform drilling, milling, tapping, and deburring on alloy and non-alloy parts, following blueprints and process docs. Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in set-up and operation of CNC Mill/Turn Centers.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, procedures, and work instructions.
• Must be willing and available to work any shift (2nd shift: 3pm - 11pm, 3rd shift: 11pm - 7am).
• Possess necessary personal tools.
• Must be able to demonstrate CNC control abilities, including editing speeds, feeds, tool offsets, and fixture offsets.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple machines and machining centers.
• Read, interpret, and follow complex blueprints, operating sheets and procedures, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining method and sequence.
• Mount, align, position, and secure tooling, attachments, and work piece on machine.
• Enter commands to input, output, or retrieve preprogrammed instructions from database.
• Calculate, set, and operate machine controls to position spindle in relationship to work piece and to regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed, and coolant flow.
