Can you turn a print into a flawless part—starting from a blank table? If your answer is yes, you might be the seasoned programmer‑setter we need in Uniontown, PA. In our small, established job shop, you’ll take the lead on Haas VMC setups (VF-4 and VF-11), run small batches and custom parts, and keep quality rock solid—even when priorities change mid-morning. This is a senior-level role; it’s not an entry-level operator position.Imagine thisIt’s 7:05am. A rush order lands for a tight-tolerance component. After lunch, you switch to a short-run production job on the VF-11, verify dimensions, and keep documentation tight so the next repeat goes even faster.Your impactOwn setups and operation on Haas VF-4 and VF-11 vertical mills.Translate blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM into reliable, efficient machining strategies.Make offsets and adjustments; perform basic program edits; select tooling with intent.Inspect in-process parts and consistently hit required tolerances.Troubleshoot quality, tooling, and machine issues to maintain throughput.Balance custom work with small production runs across multiple industries.Adapt to shifting priorities and keep the shop floor moving.Keep your area clean, safe, and organized. What you bring5+ years of CNC machining with strong mill setup capability.Haas VMC background strongly preferred; job shop experience strongly preferred.Confident blueprint reading and inspection skills; fluent with GD&T.Comfortable with G-code, offsets, tooling, and troubleshooting at the control.CAD/CAM or programming exposure (Autodesk Fusion 360 is a plus).Independent after onboarding; mentoring or lead experience is a plus.Schedule, pay, and overtimeFirst shift, Monday–Friday, 6:30/7:00am–3:30pm$32–$37 per hour, negotiable based on experience2–10 hours of overtime available most weeksTools & technologies you’ll touchCNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC): Haas, MazakCAM: Autodesk Fusion 360Core skillsGD&TCNC ToolingTroubleshooting SkillsCNC ProgrammingG-CodeTape Measure ReadingCNC Machine Setup & ChangeoverManual Machining SkillsLike variety?
