Job summary

Intuit, Inc. in Ohio seeks a skilled CNC/Manual Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines and manual mills and lathes, delivering precision components while interpreting prints and maintaining tight tolerances in a safe, efficient environment.

You will read blueprints, select tooling and speeds/feeds, inspect parts with precision instruments, and collaborate with engineers to optimize processes. A minimum of 3+ years in machining is required for this on-site role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical training preferred.
• 3+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Experience with manual machining equipment (mills, lathes, drill presses).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Strong understanding of machining fundamentals (tooling, speeds/feeds, materials).
• Strong knowledge of CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, or similar).
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills and/or lathes) to produce parts per specifications.
• Perform basic programming, edits, and offsets on CNC programs.
• Operate manual mills and lathes to produce parts per specification.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials.
• Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools.
• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working order.
• Deburr, clean, and finish parts as needed.
• Identify and troubleshoot machining or quality issues.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to improve processes and efficiency.
