Job summary

100Hires, Inc. in Ohio is seeking an experienced machinist to set up, operate, and adjust conventional and CNC machines to produce precise metallic parts according to blueprints.

You will measure parts with micrometers and height gauges, verify tolerances, and work with engineers to resolve machining issues while maintaining safety and performing routine maintenance. 5+ years of experience preferred; ability to read drawings and edit simple CNC programs is desired.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience
• Ability to edit programs for CNC equipment
• Good understanding of blueprint reading with regards to machining diameters and tolerances
• Must be able to machine parts to specified tolerance and use measuring devices like micrometers and depth micrometers
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more regularly

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust machining equipment to produce precise metallic components according to blueprints and specifications.
• Study blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances and setup requirements.
• Verify dimensions using micrometers, height gauges and gauge blocks.
• Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to resolve machining problems.
• Maintain safe operations and perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
