Job summary

Jobtailor in New Bedford, MA, is seeking a machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC equipment, including grinders and mills. You will ensure product quality and maintain traceability while following 6S and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include documentation, basic maintenance, reading drawings, and cross-training in other departments as needed. EHS training and PPE use are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• US citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) and 22 CFR 120.15.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Must pass eye tests.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machinery.
• Use surface grinders, Bridgeport-type mills, OD/ID grinders, wire band saws, and rotary grinders.
• Complete documentation and maintain product traceability.
• Read product drawings and methods to visualize machining sequences.
• Participate in required EHS training and report unsafe conditions.
