Job summary

Senior Metal Bellows is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our Sharon, MA team. You will read blueprints, set up CNCs, and machine parts to ultra-tight tolerances using precision instruments.

The role emphasizes process improvements and collaboration with Engineering to deliver high-quality, custom metal bellows solutions. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in precision manufacturing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a climate-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years proven experience as a Machinist in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Solid understanding of materials, tooling, and machining best practices.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong math and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Master the craft – maintain Operator Authorization(s) and run high-precision work correctly.
• Program CNC, edit and fine-tune programs, and set up complex fixturing.
• Set machine origins, work offsets, and tool lengths to spec.
• Turn prints into real-world results using blueprints and instructions.
• Machine components to tight tolerances and finishes with accuracy.
• Collaborate with Engineering on custom jobs and process improvements.
• Select and load tools; perform first-piece runoffs and validate setups.
• Measure in-process and finished parts with micrometers and calipers.
• Train fellow machinists on setups and best practices.
