Qualifications

• Must read detailed blueprints or drawings.
• Ability to read tape measures, micrometers, calipers and gauges accurately.
• Experience with shop math and machining operations.

Responsibilities

• Repair or produce parts using manual and automated equipment with precise measurements.
• Set up and adjust machines to drill, mill, turn, bore, grind and shape steel parts.
• Examine units to detect defects and ensure conformity with specifications.
• Program and verify machine programs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Understand customer requirements and ensure they are met.
• Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
