Job summary

Exco Electric in Louisiana seeks a CNC Machinist to join a precision metalworking team. You will operate, set up, and program CNC mills, lathes, and grinders, reading blueprints and GD&T to produce high-quality parts in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities include tool setup, in-process inspection with CMM and calipers, and contributing to lean manufacturing initiatives while maintaining clean workspaces and adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or grinders with CNC G-code programming.
• Strong CAD skills to interpret drawings (SolidWorks).
• Familiarity with CAM software for toolpaths.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Precision measurement using calipers, micrometers, CMM.
• Safety-conscious with lean manufacturing mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes, milling machines, and grinders with Fanuc or similar control.
• Program CNC machines using G-code/M-code, CAM software, and Mazatrol.
• Set up machines with tooling, fixtures, and workpieces per drawings.
• Interpret blueprints and tolerances to determine machining parameters.
• Use calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM for quality checks.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
