Job summary

Hunting in Schriever, LA is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate mills and lathes to exact specifications. You will interpret blueprints, select tooling, load materials, and execute program edits to optimize cycles and part quality.

You will perform in-process inspections with calipers and micrometers, make tool changes and offsets, maintain a safe, organized workspace, and collaborate with supervisors and QA to resolve production issues while meeting efficiency goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing instructions.
• Familiar with CNC terminology, offsets, and tool changes.
• Capable of inspecting parts with precision measuring tools.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to exact specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, routers, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and tooling installations during production.
• Create or edit CNC programs to improve cycle times and part quality.
• Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and similar tools.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
