Job summary

SEECO - Southern Electrical Equipment Company seeks an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist to program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes. You will design tooling and fixturing, work with CAM software, and ensure part quality from print to finish.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CNC experience, can read drawings with GD&T, and will own tool life, surface finish, and machine performance in a hands-on role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC programming and machining experience.
• Proficient with CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar).
• Strong understanding of G-code, feeds, speeds, and tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with mills and lathes.
• Independent work from print to part.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC mills and lathes using CAM software.
• Set up and operate CNC machines for production and prototype work.
• Work with CAD formats (STEP, IGES, DXF, native CAD).
• Design and build tooling, fixtures, and work holding solutions.
• Optimize programs for efficiency, tool life, and surface finish.
• Inspect parts and ensure they meet print and quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and assist with repairs.
• Maintain organized documentation for programs, tooling, and setups.
