Job summary

TRIUMPH seeks a Machine Operator 2 in Valencia, CA to operate CNC and manual machining centers, perform setups, and machine metal parts to tight tolerances.

You will review setup sheets, select tools, inspect pieces, and troubleshoot machines while applying 6S and safety practices.

This role requires 4–6 years of machining experience and a two-year college or CNC certification is a plus; reliability and attention to detail are valued.

Qualifications

• English literacy and basic math applied in shop floor tasks.
• Mechanical/technical aptitude required for machine operation and setup.
• Experience with reading blueprints and interpreting tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Performs setup and diversified operations on CNC or manual machining centers.
• Milling, drilling, boring, or related ops to close tolerances.
• Reviews setup sheet and specs to determine sequence and dimensions.
• Attaches fixtures and positions work pieces per setup notes.
• Selects and installs cutting tools in spindle or tool magazine.
• Measures work pieces for conformance to specs.
• Uses overrides to correct out-of-tolerance conditions with engineering coordination.
• Machines materials other than metal as required (e.g., composites).
• Cleans machine, tooling, parts and performs machine maintenance with 6S principles.
• Adjusts feed/speed and changes cutters when programming faults occur.
