Job summary

TRIUMPH in Santa Clarita, CA is seeking a skilled machinist to operate CNC and manual machines, perform setups, and finish parts to close tolerances. You will read blueprints, select tools, and monitor dimensions to ensure specifications are met.

The role requires 4–6 years of machining experience or equivalent training, with a HS diploma or GED; CNC certification is a plus. Independence, reliability, and attention to detail are essential in this on-site position.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 4–6 years’ machining experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two-year college or technical CNC certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs setup and diversified operations on CNC or manual machining centers.
• Milling, drilling, boring, or related operations to close tolerances.
• Reviews setup sheet and specifications to determine machining sequence and dimensions.
• Attaches fixture to machining bed and positions work piece per setup instructions.
• Selects and installs cutting tools in machine spindle or magazine.
• Measures work piece for conformance to specifications.
• Uses override controls to correct out-of-tolerance conditions with manufacturing engineer.
• Machines materials other than metal as required.
• Cleans machine, tooling, parts and performs machine maintenance with 6S.
