Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group in Salisbury, NC is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate CNC and manual mills and lathes for precision parts in a low-volume environment. You will work closely with fabrication, welding, and assembly teams to meet quality standards and schedules.

The role requires 3-5 years of hands-on machining experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and proficiency with precision measurement tools.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on CNC/manual machining experience.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings including GD&T basics.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual mills, lathes, and related tools to produce parts to print specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine dimensions and sequence.
• Select tooling, speeds, feeds, and work-holding methods for each job.
• Write, edit, and prove CNC programs; troubleshoot during production runs.
• Maintain quality by inspecting parts with precision instruments and documenting results.
• Coordinate with fabrication and assembly teams to keep parts on schedule.
