Job summary

Caliberr Staffing is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to oversee setup and operation of lathes and mills, ensuring parts meet exact tolerances.

You will prepare tooling, manage raw materials, and make live G-code adjustments, performing regular QC with calipers, micrometers, and CMM equipment.

This fast-paced shop rewards precision, teamwork, and continuous improvement through adherence to 5S, AS9100 vision standards, and strong blueprints.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in CNC setup and operation for both mills and lathes.
• Ability to interpret complex blueprints with GD&T.
• Strong communication skills to support continuous improvement and meet customer requirements.
• Proficiency in industrial math and using MS Office/Windows software for production tracking.
• Must satisfy ITAR eligibility and physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• AS 9100 vision standards required for high-precision inspections.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and mills to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Configure machines and tooling following technical specifications.
• Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and CMM equipment.
• Manage production data with JobBoss and other digital systems.
• Conduct routine equipment maintenance to prevent downtime.
• Identify and fix tooling or equipment problems quickly.
• Complete de-burring and rework to meet finishing standards.
• Suggest process improvements to boost efficiency and machining performance.
• Maintain a tidy 5S-compliant workspace and follow safety protocols.
