Surge Staffing in Ohio is seeking a versatile CNC Machinist / Press Setup Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This dual-role position focuses on setting up and operating CNC machines as well as progressive die stamping presses.

The ideal candidate will have precision machining and metal stamping experience, read blueprints, maintain quality and safety, and work effectively in a team.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating CNC machines.
• Experience with progressive die press setup and metal stamping.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools.
• Experience with 100-800+ ton presses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision components.
• Interpret blueprints and part specifications.
• Install fixtures, tooling, and materials.
• Adjust CNC settings to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot CNC systems.
• Set up and operate progressive die stamping presses (100-800+ tons).
• Inspect finished parts with precision instruments.
• Maintain production and inspection records.
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards.
