Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking a dependable Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The role involves setting up, operating, and monitoring stamping equipment to produce quality parts per specs and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment. Monday–Thursday shift with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience operating press machines or stamping presses.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, drawings and specs.
• Basic math skills for measurements and adjustments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Able to work independently and within a team.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely set up, operate, and monitor stamping and press equipment.
• Produce quality parts according to work orders and specs.
• Load and unload materials and finished parts from press equipment.
• Perform measurements and quality inspections during production.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures to verify dimensions.
• Visually inspect parts for defects and identify non-conforming products.
• Complete production records and work orders in computer systems.
• Set up and operate assembly and production equipment as required.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting as directed.
• Follow department procedures, work instructions, and safety standards.
• Report safety concerns and process changes to supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to PPE requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
