Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join a manufacturing team in Mansfield, OH. Responsibilities include setting up and running CNC programs, staging materials, and ensuring parts meet specifications.

The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Forklift experience and CAD/CAM familiarity are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Front-load forklift experience required.
• Experience operating and setting up CNC machines.
• Approx. 3 years with CNC calculations, CAD/CAM software preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines and run programs.
• Retrieve and stage raw materials for production.
• Review blueprints and specs before machining.
• Determine tooling and equipment for each job.
• Adjust speeds, tooling, and cutting methods to ensure accuracy.
• Monitor operation and respond to machine alarms.
• Perform quality checks on finished parts.
• Operate front-load forklift and overhead crane safely.
• Handle preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
