Acme Industries in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist on 1st shift to run milling and/or turning equipment and produce precision parts to tight tolerances. You will own setups, control quality at the spindle, and keep workflows moving in a true job shop environment.

The role requires 5+ years of CNC machining, strong print reading, GD&T expertise, and the ability to adjust offsets and tooling while maintaining first‑pass yield. ISO 9001/AS9100D familiarity is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in precision CNC machining in a job shop or contract manufacturing environment.
• Ability to hold ±0.001" or tighter consistently.
• Strong print reading and GD&T interpretation.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100D environments is a plus.

Aufgaben

• CNC operation: Run machining centers and lathes per prints and travelers; maintain tight tolerances.
• In‑process control: Measure with calipers and micrometers; adjust offsets as needed.
• Problem sensing: Identify wear or issues early and escalate before scrap.
• Setups: Load tooling, verify first‑piece, support more complex setups as needed.
• Blueprints & inspection: Read drawings and complete in‑process and final inspections per plan.
