Job summary

Kaiser Aluminum's Imperial Machine & Tool Company in Columbia, NJ is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts per specifications. You will follow safety protocols in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, measuring with calipers and micrometers, and maintaining tool and machine performance while upholding OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Understanding of basic G-code programming and machine operation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce high-precision parts.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate production.
• Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain specifications.
• Follow proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance or troubleshooting equipment.
