Job summary

Kaiser Aluminum Imperial Machine & Tool in Columbia, NJ is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. You will set up, operate, and maintain CNC mills and lathes to produce high‑precision parts from blueprints and drawings.

This safety‑critical role requires strict adherence to PPE, LO/TO procedures, and routine quality checks with calipers and micrometers. You will read technical documents, interpret G-code basics, and contribute to a fast‑paced, teamwork‑oriented

Qualifications

Experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Understanding of basic G-code programming and machine operation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce high-precision parts.
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate production.
Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain specifications.
Follow proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance or troubleshooting.
