Job summary

Vestcom, an Avery Dennison Company, seeks a CNC Machinist in Conway, AR, to join our team as a Technical Pilot focused on zero-defect mindset and growth of technical skills.

Shift is 1st: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (4-day work week with 3 days off). Benefits include medical, 401K matching, and paid time off from Day 1.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; a Technical Certificate or Associate’s Degree in CNC Machining is highly preferred.
• 3-5 years of hands-on CNC experience or equivalent training.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and hand/power tools.
• The "Plus" Factor: Familiarity or working knowledge of G-code is a significant advantage.
• Physical readiness: stand for 75% of shift, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a loud manufacturing environment with appropriate PPE.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Lathes and Vertical Machining Centers to create complex, high-tolerance parts.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Use machine manuals, meters, and your own diagnostic skills to identify and fix issues.
• Blueprint Mastery: Read and interpret complex blueprints to manufacture profiles involving radiuses, angles, and varied tangent points.
• Continuous Improvement: Perform light maintenance and cleaning on your equipment to ensure peak performance and a safe environment.
• Collaboration: Support plant-wide facility projects and assist team members across the shop as needed.
