Job summary

Leidos is seeking a CNC Machinist 2nd shift to join our Mechanical Manufacturing team in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will read engineering drawings and CAD models to produce precision parts on CNC Mills and CNC Lathes, with 5-axis and mill-turn experience a plus.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED and at least 3 years of precision machining experience, the ability to lift 35+ pounds, stand for long periods, and work 4 days per week, 10 hours per shift on 2nd shift. U.S.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED with at least 3 years of precision machining on CNC Mills & CNC Lathes.
• Ability to lift 35+ pounds unassisted.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to work overtime and a full-time 4-days-per-week, 10-hours-per-shift, 2nd shift.
• US Citizenship and eligibility to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Read engineering drawings and CAD models to produce precision parts.
• Work on aerospace components; 5-axis and/or mill-turn experience is a plus.
• Operate and program on CNC Mills and CNC Lathes in a fast-paced environment.
