Job summary

Opti Staffing Group is seeking a CNC Machinist in Gresham, OR to set up and operate 2- and 3-axis CNC milling machines and perform manual machining in a tool and die shop. You will read blueprints, select tooling, and maintain accuracy on precision components.

The role requires hands-on experience in a shop environment, familiarity with 2-3 axis CNC milling, and a keen eye for detail to ensure parts meet tight tolerances. Day shift, up to 35/hr DOE.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with CNC milling machine setup and operation.
• Experience with 2- or 3-axis CNC milling.
• Some manual machining experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 2- and 3-axis CNC milling machines.
• Machine precision components to meet specifications and quality requirements.
• Perform manual machining using Bridgeport mills and manual lathes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications.
• Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting tools.
• Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Inspect finished parts and verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
