Job summary

Medeco Security Locks in Salem, VA is seeking a Machinist OEM to support production with precision on various machines, including CNCs. The role requires 3–5 years of machine-setting experience and the ability to read blueprints and adjust tooling for accuracy.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
3–5 years of machine setting experience preferred.
Capable of machine changeovers and adjustments with precision.
Understanding of lubrication, coolant and cutting oils.
Basic MS Office and Windows familiarity.
Familiarity with Fanuc G & M codes is a plus; hands-on CNC experience.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate lathes, cutters, borers, millers, grinders, presses, drills, and CNC machines.
Position and align tools and controls to meet cutting speeds and tolerances.
Run cycles, inspect first-run parts, and ensure quality standards.
Troubleshoot machine/setup issues quickly and efficiently.
Read blueprints and shop layouts to guide work sequences.
