Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on CNC lathe setup and operation in a high-precision environment.
• Ability to read engineered drawings and GD&T.
• Proficient with Fanuc, Haas or similar CNC controls and G-code/M-code programming.
• Stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Operation: perform complete setups and prove-out programs on 2-axis to multi-axis CNC lathes.
• Machining & Controls: load programs, set tool offsets, establish work coordinates, and edit G-code/M-code as needed.
• Quality & Inspection: perform first-piece and in-process inspections with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.
• Blueprint Reading: interpret complex blueprints, GD&T symbols, and job traveler instructions.
• Tooling Management: select, inspect, set up and adjust cutting tools, inserts, and fixtures.
• Process Improvement: collaborate with quality/engineering to troubleshoot issues and optimize cycle times.
• Maintenance & Safety: keep a clean 5S workspace and perform routine preventive maintenance.
