The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands‑on CNC lathe setup and operation experience, familiarity with Fanuc or Haas controls, and a strong attention to detail in a high‑mix environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on CNC lathe setup and operation in a high-precision environment.
• Reading blueprints and GD&T principles with strong attention to tolerances.
• Solid understanding of G-code and M-code programming logic.
• Hands-on experience with Fanuc, Haas, or similar CNC controls.
• Proficient use of precision inspection tools and shop math.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Operation: Perform complete setups, prove-out programs, and operate 2-axis to multi-axis CNC lathes.
• Machining & Controls: Load programs, set tool offsets, establish work coordinates, and make minor edits at the control.
• Quality & Inspection: Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret complex engineering blueprints, GD&T symbols, and job traveler instructions.
• Tooling Management: Select, inspect, set up, and adjust cutting tools, inserts, and workholding fixtures.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with quality and engineering to troubleshoot and optimize cycle times.
• Maintenance & Safety: Maintain a clean 5S work area and perform preventive maintenance on machines.
