Job summary

Crane Pumps & Systems in Piqua, Ohio is seeking a production CNC machinist to set up and operate lathes and machining centers, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances. You will work from drawings, select tooling, and program adjustments with Engineering teams.

This role involves inspecting parts with precision gauges, performing deburrs, and contributing to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints and manufacturing documents required.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and machining centers.
• Read drawings and work orders; select tooling and define feeds/speeds.
• Install workholding; perform fixture changes and in-process adjustments.
• Edit CNC programs with Engineering; inspect using gauges; deburr/finish parts.
• Maintain safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
