Job summary

In-Finite Search Solutions is seeking an experienced machinist to set up and operate CNC horizontal boring mills and interpret complex drawings. You will produce accurate parts with limited supervision, maintain quality standards, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

The role requires hands-on responsibility for tooling selection, machine setup, and inline inspection using precision instruments, with a strong focus on dimensional accuracy and process stability.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating CNC horizontal boring mills.
• Ability to read and interpret machining drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to edit CNC programs at the machine.
• Strong attention to quality and dimensional accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC horizontal boring mills
• Read and interpret machining drawings, blueprints, and job instructions
• Determine appropriate tooling, workholding, and machining processes
• Edit CNC programs at the machine as needed
• Machine large, complex, close-tolerance components
• Inspect work using micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments
• Verify dimensions throughout the machining process
• Make offsets and adjustments to maintain dimensional requirements
• Identify and resolve machining, tooling, or setup issues
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records
• Follow established safety and quality procedures
• Keep the machine and surrounding work area clean and organized
