Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking an experienced machinist to program and operate CNC Horizontal Milling Centers and Boring Mills, turning metal parts to exact specifications. You will translate prints into Mazatrol, Celos, and G/M codes with precise GD&T interpretation.

Mount and align tools, monitor cycles, measure parts, and adjust setups to maintain tight tolerances. You’ll transfer programs over networks, perform on‑the‑fly edits, and log data for quality control.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on proficiency with GD&T, CNC tooling, CNC programming, G‑code, M‑code, and production run setups.
• Mechanical aptitude across machine design, use, repair, and maintenance.
• Applied math in trigonometry, algebra, and geometry.
• Continuous learner; training and technical publications keep you sharp.

Responsibilities

• Translate prints into programs using Mazatrol, Celos, and G/M codes with expert GD&T interpretation.
• Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces using precision measuring devices and hand tools.
• Start up, monitor, and document machine operations; ensure parts are properly cooled and lubricated throughout cycles.
• Measure finished workpieces; adjust machines and tooling to hold tolerance; reconfigure setups per sequence.
• Transfer programs via network links, make offsets and on‑the‑fly program edits, and safeguard data integrity.
• Inspect and sort nonconforming parts by flaw type; correct root causes.
• Detect issues by sound and feel—replace dull tools and eliminate vibration before quality is affected.
