Job summary

Sartori Company in Crescent City, CA is seeking a Packaging Operator to manage tower operation, primary packaging of cheese blocks, case wrapping, palletizing, and shipping staging. This hands-on role emphasizes sanitation, SOP adherence, and food safety.

You will operate, monitor equipment, perform quality checks, complete documentation, and support sanitation and GMP programs on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule on 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of food manufacturing experience desirable, operator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates packaging lines and monitors tower sequencing to ensure product quality.
• Documents lot numbers, item codes, and weights; attaches labels to blocks.
• Inspects packaging integrity and performs sanitation and CIP procedures.
• Palletizes blocks and prepares finished pallets for staging.
• Performs pre-operational inspections and participates in GMP audits.
• Follows SOPs, safety, HACCP, and food quality standards.
