Job summary

Timken Company is seeking an Assembly Operator in Illinois to perform on the production line, assemble chain components, and inspect quality. You will operate presses, grinders, and assembly machines while following detailed work instructions and safety procedures.

The role requires reading blueprints and using measuring tools to ensure parts meet specifications. With 1+ years in manufacturing and a high school diploma or GED, you will contribute to a clean, safe work environment and support

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and the use of measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed instructions from work orders, blueprints, route cards and safety rules.
• Interpret and follow chain assembly instructions for production of chain models.
• Assemble components using manual and automatic methods according to specifications.
• Operate presses, grinders, assembly machines and dip tanks.
• Ensure quality with gauges, measuring tools and visual inspection.
