Job summary

Siemens Energy in Gibsonton, Florida is seeking a team member to perform surface preparation on castings, including blasting, belting, grinding, and benching to meet production specs. You will use basic tools and inspection equipment to prepare parts for quality checks.

Responsibilities include verifying serial numbers, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining part quality, with potential cross-training and collaboration with maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years experience using hand tools; plastics/ceramics extrusion background a plus.
• Experience with inspection equipment (calipers, pin gauges) a plus.
• Able to perform math using the metric system and read engineering instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate benching procedures on castings using basic tools.
• Prepare castings for visual inspection.
• Use Mercury to verify serial numbers, adjust machines, perform troubleshooting, and maintain part quality.
• Perform improvement analysis and basic or defined maintenance with maintenance technicians or external providers.
• Cross training and other duties may be assigned as needed.
