Job summary

Precision Castparts in Oregon seeks a skilled grinder/inspector to remove surface and subsurface defects from castings, blending welds to blueprint tolerances and preparing parts for repair.

You will review inspection paperwork, verify dimensional compliance with micrometers, calipers and gauges, and provide guidance to junior grinders while following safety procedures. Training provided; ability to work in challenging conditions is required.

Qualifications

• Grinding skills and ability to blend defects to blueprint tolerances.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications on process docs.
• Lift and maneuver objects up to 35 pounds; work in various conditions.

Responsibilities
