Job summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence in Novi, MI is seeking a Calibration Technician to calibrate, certify, maintain, and support portable metrology products. The role emphasizes ISO 17025 compliance, NIST traceability, and accuracy in a lab and production environment.

The technician will work with Absolute Arms, Laser Trackers, NextSense systems, and AICON Scanners, handling precision equipment up to 80 pounds and providing documentation, reports, and continuous improvement support.

Qualifications

• Experience calibrating portable coordinate measuring machines (PCMMs) and related metrology equipment.
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 and NIST traceability.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to read technical drawings and procedures.
• Experience in ISO calibration labs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and certify portable metrology products to ISO 17025.
• Maintain calibration records and generate certificates and reports.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment; perform maintenance as needed.
• Support ISO 17025 compliance and quality audits.
• Assist with training junior technicians and process improvements.
