Job summary

Quest Defense Systems and Solutions in Windsor Locks, CT is seeking a Drafter/MBD specialist to create 2D drawings and 3D models for aerospace subsystems and engine control products. Qualifications

• Associates degree in STEM with 2+ years of experience or a Bachelor's in Engineering with 1+ years.
• Proficient with Siemens NX/Teamcenter environments.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and design intent notes.
• Understanding of ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
• Experience with model based definition (MBD) practices including creating 3D drawings.
• Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.
• Ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple tasks with strong communication.
• Teamwork and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D drawings for pieces, housings, and assemblies in NX and manage Bills of Materials.
• Create part definitions using MBD for high complexity parts and assemblies.
• Check drawings for accuracy, GD&T, and aerospace standards compliance.
• Update 3D models or drawings per engineering input and change requests.
• Support product design reviews and coordinate with project, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
• Ensure proper filing, control, and export classification of design data.
• Work effectively in a team and communicate with stakeholders.
• Strict adherence to the design process for safe, reliable products.
