Job summary

Hunter Recruiting seeks a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to support product engineering by creating 3D models, 2D drawings, and specifications. The role emphasizes data integrity and configuration control across mechanical product lines.

The ideal candidate has experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred), knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and GD&T, and BOM management. Proficiency with MS Office and precision measurement tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, or related field (or equivalent).
• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 drafting standards, including GD&T.
• Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of mechanical components and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and 2D drawings based on measurements, sketches, existing drawings, and laser scan data.
• Process engineering change requests using CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Apply ASME Y14.5 standards, including GD&T, to develop and revise technical drawings.
• Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs), including part numbers, revisions, and release data.
• Develop and complete technical specification documentation for internal and external use.
• Support engineering change management processes to ensure configuration control and data accuracy.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and cross-functional teams to resolve product-related issues.
• Assist in the design, development, and launch of product improvements in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
• Support certification activities, including testing and documentation for regulated products.
