Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking an Assembly Technician to prepare and hand-solder wire and cable connectors for molding processes. The role requires reading detailed drawings and BOMs, using hand tools and soldering equipment, and performing quality inspections throughout the build.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, 5+ years in electro-mechanical assembly, and experience with soldering.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED.
• 5+ years electro-mechanical assembly experience in manufacturing.
• Must have prior hand soldering experience; wire and cable soldering preferred.
• J-STD 001 and/or IPC 620 certifications preferred.
• Willing to cross-train in all assemblies.
• Reliable and punctual; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs fine hand soldering using a soldering iron and magnifying glass.
• Follows detailed production drawings, sample assemblies and instructions.
• Interprets drawings and bills of materials to complete assigned assembly.
• Uses hand and power tools to perform skilled fitting and assembly work.
• Inspects parts for quality and conducts basic testing during assembly.
• Adjusts materials to meet electrical or dimensional specs.
• Maintains safety procedures and PPE compliance.
• Adheres to 5S and Lean manufacturing practices.
