Job summary

B & B Airparts Inc. in Wichita, KS is seeking a Brakepress Operator to form sheet metal aluminum parts from customer drawings using a brake press. You’ll verify tooling, load pieces, and inspect parts to ensure profile accuracy and conformance with drawings.

The role requires 2+ years braking experience, blueprint literacy, and ability to read/understand English. Overtime may be needed; callouts and safety PPE are standard on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years operating a CNC Brake Press and/or Manual brake in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read blueprints and decipher drawings.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Proficient in blue print reading and use of precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Verify tooling and all engineering drawings before manufacturing part.
• Load machine with work pieces and run to spec.
• Perform visual inspection of part and traveler.
• Confirm profile, pilot holes and cut outs are per Customer drawing.
• Verify accuracy of job/workmanship during operations.
• Maintain specifications by observing operations and troubleshooting.
• Meet production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity and quality.
