Job summary

rms Company in Minnesota is seeking a Brake Press Operator to plan, lay out, and perform sheet metal operations for a wide range of tight-tolerance parts and assemblies. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and to work with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of brake press setup experience, a high school diploma or GED, and proficient use of Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years brake press setup experience required.
• Ability to read, comprehend, follow and document work instructions and procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to take direction from area manager.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) sought.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up all types of sheet metal machines to bend, cut or form parts.
• Use sheet metal hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Read blueprints and perform shop mathematics at an intermediate level.
• Enter production information into the ERP system in a timely manner and accurately report hours.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE when required.
• Support ISO and medical device quality requirements and company work instructions.
