Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with vocational/technical training in metal fabrication.
• Proven experience as Brake Press/Laser Operator in a metal fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work orders.
• Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills along with organization and prioritization.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to cross-train between laser and brake press areas.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate brake press and laser machines to bend, cut, and manipulate metal components according to blueprints, diagrams, or work orders.
• Review job orders and drawings to determine materials, specifications, and requirements.
• Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate and precise fabrication.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with production team to ensure efficient and timely completion of orders.
• Follow all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Document production records, including materials used, machine settings, and quantities produced.
• Continuously improve processes and techniques to optimize efficiency and quality.
