Job summary

Goetsch's Welding & Machine, Inc. in Merrill, Wisconsin is seeking a Brake Press and/or Laser Operator for 2nd shift (Mon-Thurs, 3pm-1am). This full-time role involves setting up and operating brake press and laser equipment to form metal parts according to blueprints and work orders.

Ideal candidates have experience in metal fabrication, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read drawings. The position offers hourly pay based on experience plus a $2 per hour shift differential,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with vocational training preferred.
• Experience with Brake Press or Laser CNC machines.
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate brake press and laser machines to bend, cut, and manipulate metal components according to blueprints, diagrams, or work orders
• Review job orders and drawings to determine materials, specifications, and requirements
• Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate and precise fabrication
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
• Collaborate with production team to ensure efficient and timely completion of orders
• Follow all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
• Document production records, including materials used, machine settings, and quantities produced
• Continuously improve processes and techniques to optimize efficiency and quality
