Job summary

Surestaff, LLC is seeking a Binder Operator in Bartlett, IL to set up and run binding machines, inspect finished products, and maintain production records. You will collaborate with the team to meet deadlines, troubleshoot malfunctions, and ensure safety and quality throughout the binding process.

The role requires attention to detail, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to read job orders. Prior printing/publishing experience is preferred; on-the-job training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate binding machines to bind books, magazines, and other printed materials.
• Inspect and verify the quality of finished products.
• Adjust binding machines to fix malfunctions and ensure efficient operation.
• Maintain records of production and machine maintenance.
• Collaborate with other production team members to meet deadlines.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on binding machines.
• Load, position, and align printed materials for binding.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Interpret job orders and specifications to determine binding requirements.
• Monitor and control the binding process to ensure quality standards are met.
